Preparing for Graduation

Class of 2017

Seniors have a busy few weeks ahead preparing for graduation.

Here’s what’s coming up:

The Top Ten Banquet will be help On Sunday May 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the The Brown Hotel in Louisville Kentucky for those students and their families.

The Awards program for all Seniors will be held on May 31 at 9 a.m. in the CHS Theater. The parents and families of graduates are invited to attend. Graduation practice will be held immediately after the Awards program in the Main Gym, all Class of 2017 graduates must attend. From graduation practice students will have the honor to walk through Clarksville Elementary school and Middle school in their cap and gown. After the senior walk, the senior video viewing will be held in the theater. After the senior video viewing, students will meet on the CHS Football Field for their senior picnic.

Graduation will take place on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarksville High School main gym. Graduates need to arrive by 1:00 p.m. Pictures with family and friend may be taken in D-Lobby from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. (Please do not congregate in the gymnasium during this time.) At 1:30 p.m. seniors will report to B-Hallway to prepare for graduation march. The order of lineup will be posted and adjustments will be made in the event a graduate is not in attendance.

Gym doors will be open at 1:00 p.m. There is no reserved seating for the graduation ceremony, other than for persons with special needs. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Door will be open for graduation seating no earlier than 1:00 pm. In addition to the bleachers, a limited number of chairs will be available directly behind the graduates on the gym floor. Please let the administration by Wednesday, May 31 if you have a friend of family who requires special seating.

Please do not plan to take pictures or videos from the gym floor or directly in front of the stage during the ceremony. You will be escorted away from this area.

Diplomas will be distributed after the graduation ceremony in the cafeteria.
